OSHIOMOLE REITERATES HIS COMMITMENT TO MR PRESIDENT

Millicent Umoru-Osakwua

Former National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Comrade, Adams Oshiomole has accepted the decision of the National Executive Committee (NEC) over the dissolution of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.

Oshiomole while addressing Journalists in Abuja on Saturday said, he has directed his lawyers to withdraw his case currently pending in the supreme court which has to do with the issue of his suspension.

He said, President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR graciously invited him to run for chairmanship of the APC in 2018 and tasked him with the responsibility of reforming the party before 2019 general elections. He added that his leadership has been one of struggles as reforming the party entails taking difficult decisions,

The 2019 elections has come and gone, Mr President had more votes than 2015 where we were unable to manage our victory. We have more members in the Senate and House of Representatives. I am happy that the leadership of the two Chambers of the National Assembly are working harmoniously with Mr President, Oshiomole added.

He further added that, as a member of APC, he has a duty to lead by example hence,  he has decided to accept the decision in good fate as a demonstration of his loyalty to Mr. President, APC  as well as Nigeria Nation.

I seize to be the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress as I have now taken a bow, Oshiomole said.  While reassuring Mr. President that his confidence in his leadership remains unshaken, Oshiomole noted that his commitment to the APC as a member of the party remain  unshaken.  He appreciates all the State Governors, Leaders as well as the Non NWC members who stood by him all through the period.

  1. It is of great importance that he accept the party’s decision, as he has contributed his quota to the party’s developments and successes.
His bow is very much acknowledged.
