Nigeria Immigration gets N500m to support security reform

The Nigeria Immigration Service has been awarded a Five Hundred Million Naira grant, from the Abdul Samad Rabiu Initiative for Africa Security Sector Support.

The grant is to support ongoing reforms in the service.

In a statement, spokesman for the service, Tony Akuneme said the Comptroller General of Immigration, Isah Jere, commended the Chairman of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, for the initiative and pledge that the service will redouble its efforts in delivery services in line with its mandate.

He also said that the grant will be effectively utilized.

The ASR Africa Security Sector Support Grant Scheme, is an intervention initiative, targeted at Security and Social Development in Africa.
