NIS AT 60:FCT COMPTROLLER, AKUNEME FLOATS ESSAY COMPETITION FOR JUNIOR OFFICERS

Ahead of the 60th anniversary of the Nigeria Immigration Services, the NIS Comptroller FCT Command, Mr Anthony Akuneme has disclosed that he intends to organize an essay competition for the junior officers under his command.
He disclosed that the essence of the competition is to stimulate the interest of the officers in academic and intellectual development in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of NIS.
Continuing, he said “we will make it big, with the support of the CGIS and our stakeholders. We hope to give out mouthwatering prizes like cars, houses, overseas scholarships and cash prizes, more like the Big Brother experience”he said.
He further hinted that the Comptroller General Immigration Services CGIS, Mrs Adepoju has challenged all her state Comptrollers to come up with innovative ideas to make the Diamond jubilee of Africas biggest border agency, a big deal.
The Imo State born FCT NIS Comptroller, disclosed that the essay competition is part of his own innovative ideas for the anniversary and added that he will still come up with other ideas as the day unfolds.
He thanked the CGIS, Mrs Adepoju for finding him worthy amongst her Controllers, to lead the number one command in the country .
