The Comptroller of Immigration Service, FCT Command, Tony Akuneme, on thursday
visited one of the survivors of the tragic motor accident that led to the death of four Immigration personnel recently.
The CIS, Tony Akuneme informed the injured personnel and his family members present at the Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital, that he was delegated by the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Caroline wura-Ola Adepoju, to visit them and reassure them of the unalloyed commitment of the NIS towards his complete treatment and rehabilitation.
The FCT Immigration boss was accompanied to the hospital by his Personal Assistant, Blessing Udida, Command PRO, Ifeanyi Uche, as well as the Special Assistant to the CIS, Shakira Mohammed.
It will be recalled that the newly confirmed 18th substantive CGIS, Mrs Adepoju had earlier paid similar visits to the families of the other victims and had also pledged to cater for all financial obligations arising from the fatal accident.
The accident victim, Mr Olaoye, an Assistant Superintendent of Immigration, appreciated the Comptroller of Immigration Service, FCT Command, for the visit and also expressed his gratitude to the Comptroller General of Immigration Service, for her genuine motherly duty of care towards the welfare of the accident victims and said that he was not surprised as the CGIS had vowed from her first day in office, to make Staff welfare her priority.
