School administrator honoured by staff members for landmark achievements

Members of staff of Federal Government College, Otobi in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue state, have showered encomiums and bestowed honour on Mr Amudipe Olu, the Principal and Administrator of the school, for his landmark achievements recorded within his five-year tenure.
The Principal was hosted by his staff members on Friday.
The achievements recorded by the Principal within a period of five years was said to be unprecented.
Mr Olu was said to have completed the abandoned administrative block, built a canteen for staff and guests, built staffroom, constructed a lawn tennis court and constructed an ultra modern assembly complex.
Others are; purchase of a brand new utility bus, erection of solar lights in the school compound, building of new science laboratory, completion of Benue and Igbudu-eke boys hostel, renovation of girls hostel and building/ completion of a model clinic.
Other projects that were said to be ongoing were; renovation of Ogiri Oko boys hostel, fencing of girls hostel.
Mr D.Y. Yahaya, the Vice Principal Administration, said that Olu had been found worthy over the years, and even now as an administrator ‘par excellence’ by his consistent productivity in both human capacity development, students welfare and academics among others.
Yahaya maintained that Olu was unequalled as a shining star among his contemporaries in administration as well as knowledge and skills impartation.
He described the Principal as a tool in fostering social integration and cohesion for national unity and development.
The Vice Principal said the meeting offorded a rare opportunity for staff across board , not only as a reference point in history but a virile instrument to showcase and sustain the gallantry of his administrative acumen.
He rated the Principal as the best the school ever had.
A member pastor, Ije S.O stressed on the wisdom and knowledge exhibited by the Principal which stood him out among his contemporaries, urging him to sustain his good deeds.
Ije called the Principal a problem solver, developer, a go-getter, transformer and disciplinarian.
Other Vice Principals and staff members also showered encomiums on the school principal, stating that they lacked words to describe his tremendous achievements.
They said that they were overwhelmed by the monumental achievements of the principal within a space of five years.
Responding to the accolades, Olu say he was equally overwhelmed by the unexpected honour bestowed on him, and was short of words.
He said he was challenged to do more for members of staff and the entire college community.
Olu adviced his staff members to shun gossips and rumour peddling, urging them to do the right thing at the right time always.
He expressed appreciation for the honour.
