Acting Comptroller General of Immigration, Caroline Wuraola Adepoju FSI, has reassured junior staff of the Service of her desire to pay deliberate attention to issues of their welfare.

The CGIS made the commitment at the weekend during her maiden interactive session with lower cadre personnel of the Service.

She reiterated her avowed determination to improve transportation, training, accommodation and prompt payments of overtime allowances with special attention to drivers, secretaries and ordelies who spend just as much extra hours at work as their bosses, without being duly recognized.

In their remarks, several of the junior officers took time to extol the CGIS for making out time to parley with them in a very cordial and no- holds- barred environment, describing it as the first of its kind in the sixty three years history of the Service.

In his own goodwill message, the Deputy Comptroller General incharge of Human Resources, Usman Babangida thanked the CGIS for such unprecedented interface with junior officers and promised to put into prompt action all the requests raised by the staff all of which received instant approval by the Comptroller General.
